Re·al·i·ty
/rēˈalƏdē/
Noun
The world or the state of things as they actually exist, as opposed to an idealistic or notional idea of them

Life is a façade. People act how they think others want them to act. People look how they think others want them to look. People aren’t real. Life isn’t real.
            But, life is beautiful.
            People are beautiful.
Today, women are often looked at as objects. They are looked upon as purely pleasurable forms. Women are objectified, whether it be for a man’s viewing, or even a woman’s. Objectification dehumanizes that person. Nowadays, to see a woman on the street without any makeup on is unheard of. We wear makeup because it’s of the norm. We dress nicely because it’s of the norm. We do “womanly” things because it’s of the norm.
With this series I wanted to show the pureness. I wanted to show reality. I wanted to photograph a woman in a non-objectifying way. A woman’s body is utterly beautiful. It’s capable of many things.
I wanted to show what is not of the norm:
  Pure.
  True.
  Real.
    Actual.
This is how life should strive to be.
